Come spend a day at the beautiful Kondalilla Eco Resort, Flaxton. The resort is set in amongst 20 acres of magnificent rain forest and is only 40 minutes drive from the Sunshine Coast. It is situated at the entrance to the beautiful Kondalilla falls and just minutes from the town of Montville.
This 2 hour session will start slowly with meditation and breath work. From here we’ll start moving the body, this part of the session will have longer holds as in a Hatha Yoga class. From here, when the body is warm we will progress to a flowing Vinyasa style and finish off with more meditation. Checking in with the mind and the body at the end of the session and comparing your energy and focus to the start of the class is a great way to gauge how you’ve done.

A regular Restorative Yoga practice can help induce the relaxation response, counteracting the ‘fight or flight’ response and promote feelings of well-being, making you more resistant to the negative effects of stress. Postures are held passively for an extended period of time, either seated or lying down. We use supportive props, such as bolsters, blocks, blankets, and straps you will be able to completely relax and hold poses for longer - with no effort.
2.30 pm - 3.30 pm Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra guided meditation, practiced lying down, is one of the most popular yoga meditation techniques as it induces a profoundly deep state of rest. This deeply restorative meditation practice allows you to relax, recharge and rejuvenate. It is effortless, enjoyable, soothing and recuperative. Yoga Nidra triggers the relaxation response balancing the nervous system and allowing the body to heal. Yoga Nidra is known for its ability to assist those struggling with insomnia, anxiety, depression, pain, or the effects of trauma in their life. The restorative effect of a Yoga Nidra session (30-60 minutes) is said to be the restful equivalent of 3-4 hours sleep.
Getting away from the outside world of busy schedules and daily demands, you are able to enjoy dedicated time to fully absorb the content on offer. Fully commit your time and energy into classes without the stress of racing from work or other appointments. Once you remove yourself from your everyday environment, you are released from daily habits, thoughts and patterns. In such a quiet, peaceful space you are then able to focus on yourself.
